Violent Incident at CETIS 8 in Mexico City

An armed man broke into the Industrial and Services Technological Studies Center (CETIS) No. 8 "Rafael Dondé Preciat" located in the Miguel Hidalgo borough of Mexico City. The individual attacked a student and sexually assaulted two more students, being detained by the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and placed at the disposal of the Attorney General's Office (FGJ) for investigation.

Carlos Jiménez (C4), a journalist, shared on social media an image of the aggressor identified as Alejandro Press, who allegedly entered the school with a peeler, a fork, and four knives of different sizes. Press initially attacked one student and then tried to kiss two other female students, being disarmed and arrested by the police.

Despite the seriousness of the events, authorities have not provided additional details on how Press managed to access CETIS 8. It has also not been confirmed whether the objects he carried were used in the attack. The circulated image shows the aggressor smiling, apparently defiant in front of the authorities.

The case has raised concern within the educational community, as the safety of students has been compromised. Both the SSC and the FGJ are conducting the relevant investigations to clarify what happened and ensure the protection of students in the future.
